Events specialist cooks up a storm at 50 Best Restaurants Awards!

Revelation (event management) Limited were on hand to help Restaurant Magazine reveal the world’s best places to eat this week.

The event management company handled full production of the 2010 S.Pellegrino's World's 50 Best Restaurants awards show including set design, lighting and widescreen video production. Responsible for the live filming of the ceremony on the night, Revelation edited the footage overnight in order to have it uploaded on a bespoke site ready for the world’s press to access as the news broke the following day.

The special event, held at the Guildhall in London was attended by some of the world’s greatest chefs and restaurateurs.

Guests on the evening saw Denmark’s Noma crowned the best restaurant, pipping famed Spanish restaurant El Bulli to the much coveted prize.

Matt Sims, Managing Director, said: “This is the fifth year that we have had the privilege of producing the World’s 50 Best Restaurants, which is recognised around the world as the most credible indicator of the best places to eat. In their coverage of the ceremony Bloomberg even called it ‘the restaurant Oscars’.

“The excitement generated amongst those who aspire to make the list, and the massive interest it brings to the restaurant industry in general, have seen it grow into an eagerly anticipated, internationally influential event, and one we’re very proud to be associated with.”
