De Boer gets skates on for festive ice rink fun!

De Boer has got its skates on to meet the huge public demand for festive ice rinks across the UK.

The structure specialist has been called in to provide its stunning range of temporary accommodation for ice skating sites in major towns and cities including some of London’s most high-profile locations over the Christmas and New Year period.

Top teams from the Brackley-based company are zigzagging across the country from Avon to London, Wiltshire to Worcestershire and Northampton to Buckinghamshire to build structures for changing and storage rooms, café areas, skate hire and viewing balconies. The company is also creating the rink floor at a large number of locations.

Working closely with two major clients, De Boer is providing facilities at a dozen sites. An ice rink at the Whitehall Garden Centre in Wiltshire was launched on October 20 – the remaining 11 sites are scheduled to open next month.

Kellie O’Hare, De Boer’s ice rink project manager for sites across the UK, said: “We are thrilled to be part of such magical events that the whole family can experience. Our experienced teams are well versed at providing unique and professional backdrops for all occasions, sometimes at a moment’s notice!”

De Boer’s Katie Russell, who is project managing ice skating rinks at some of London’s historic locations, added: “The demand for ice skating increases every year and we are delighted to be of service to our clients. Our personnel have been travelling up and down the country to create the perfect setting at each location so festive skaters can enjoy the facilities over Christmas and into the New Year.”

De Boer’s stylish Alu Vista structure will take pride of place in London’s Hyde Park as part of the city’s spectacular Winter Wonderland attraction.  The company is also working at the historic Tower of London and Hampton Court.

Many events are being held at major garden and leisure centres, a magical setting for children of all ages. Even Santa is scheduled to drop in at these ice wonderlands. With rinks located in counties across the UK, families seeking fun on the ice won’t have to travel too far to get their skates on.
