Thorns’ boosts sales team

Thorns Group has announced the appointment of two new sales staff based in the company’s London office.

Leona Byrne takes on the role of Sales Executive within Thorns Furniture and Catering Equipment Hire – one of three divisions of Thorns Group. Leona has a wealth of experience in the Australian events industry, previously working with leading exhibition supplier ExpoNet, formerly known as Expo Hire.

Her role within the company will see her target new business as well as working with existing clients. Leona said: “I am thrilled to be working in the events industry in the UK. Thorns is a leading player in the sector and I hope I can use my expertise to gain new contracts.”

Laura Russell has been appointed Sales Administrator. Laura has previous sales experience for companies within the retail and logistics markets.

Clair Whitecross, Thorns’ Group Sales Director, said: “Leona and Laura are real assets to the company and we are delighted to have them on our team. They both bring with them a wealth of experience and industry knowledge which is a great step forward in expanding the business.”
