ESSA Summer Event Review

21 and 22 July saw the G50 and Golf/Spa/Activity days linked back to back for the first time, which was met with unanimous support from the participants.

Extra networking opportunities to meet old and new colleagues and to discuss topical issues were aplenty with two evening dinners, long coffee breaks and balmy Champagne receptions that delegates highly enjoyed.

Turning our attention to the G50; 60 attendees enjoyed a rich mix of technical information, learning topics and strategic dialogue with everyone saying they walked away with plenty to digest.  Many delegates commented they would have chosen to attend an event on the technical issues but combining it with such a diverse programme ensured their attention and allowed them to take critical business issues away with them back to their businesses.

85% of delegates gave the G50 top marks, with everyone indicating they would come back for more in 2011.

Day 2 included clay pigeon shooting and spa treatments to compliment 42 golfers and numerous tee sponsors (please see rolling banner).  A beautiful sunny day held until the players ran through the last hole.

The Staverton Course once again proved a great hit with the golfers and the hospitality was spot on.

The evening started with a champagne reception, three course dinner and awards presentation with plenty of prizes up for grabs; please click here for list of winners. 

After some dutch courage the Karaoke kicked in as the industry once again blasted out some favourites, before closing at some unearthly hour.

Both events provided a great social gathering, critical business information and contributed financially to ESSA’s bottom line so that we can continue to provide the products and services all members demand.
