The three-day festival aimed at amateur and professional photographers is expected to attract 5,000 people and will showcase an array of exhibitions; workshops; seminars and book signings from some of the world's most inspiring artists. The event, organised by The Curators, is supported by internationally acclaimed photo journalists and photographers, as well as by organisations such as Reuters, Olympus and the Imperial War Museum.
Joe Manby Limited will provide display walling for galleries and a modular trade exhibition in the centre.
Organiser and acclaimed photojournalist Peter Dench, of The Curators, said: “We wanted to create a lively festival with something for everyone interested in photography - from inspiring exhibitions to photo walks and talks from world renowned photographers.
“Joe Manby Limited’s reputation goes before them and we’re pleased to partner with them for our first show and to be able to stage the event right in the heart of the outstandingly beautiful spa town of Harrogate.”
Andrew Manby, director at Joe Manby Limited said: “We’re delighted to see Harrogate Convention Centre continuing to attract some interesting new shows to the town and look forward to contributing to the success of the first Photo North Festival.”
