30,000 UK job losses if UK Government fails to provide a clear date for reopening of exhibitions sector from COVID-19 lockdown

We along with our sister associations, Association of Event Venues (AEV) and the Association of Event Organisers (AEO) have written to Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak MP with regards to the urgent need for a ‘go date’ to reignite the £70bn events industry.

The Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has announced that it has become an ACID partner with Anti Copying In Design (ACID), to help protect its members - many of whom originate creative designs as their core business.

The Event Industry Alliance (AEV, ESSA and AEO) has written a letter to the PM Boris Johnson asking him for the specific inclusion of events and any related businesses in all and every measure or support packages that the government puts forward.

The Event Industry Alliance (AEV, AEO and ESSA) have released a collection of resources, documents, links, and advice for working remotely, available through the members’ sections of the respective association websites.

In a letter to the Chancellor Rishi Sunak today, Andrew Harrison (Director ESSA), Chris Skeith (CEO, AEO), and Rachel Parker (Director, AEV)  have asked for a rescue plan to specifically support the exhibition industry and its supply chain.

The ESSA Future Focus Board has announced the completion of its first round of mental health workshops, and Jess Corbett, Future Focus Board chair, is considering them a resounding success.
