Grab your teammates and put your best putter forward as the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) announces the return of its annual two-day Summer Event for 2024.
Taking place on 10 and 11 July at The Forest of Arden Hotel & Country Club, Coventry in conjunction with headline sponsors sponsored by BeMatrix and InEvexco, the event will first host ESSA’s AGM, providing an opportunity for members to reflect and learn from a variety of speakers and ensure their voices are heard by voting on the all-important matter of appointing the ESSA board for 2024/5.
An afternoon of exciting sporting activities will follow with teams from across the events industry battling it out to see who comes out on top, while also providing an opportunity for some networking away from the hustle and bustle of the show floor.
The competition doesn’t stop there as day two welcomes the return of ESSA’s legendary industrywide charity golf day, In the Rough. Set in 10,000 acres of Warwickshire parkland and ancient woodland and recognised as one of the premier golf destinations in the UK, the day is sure to provide some healthy competition while also raising vital funds for The Trussel Trust who provide emergency food and support to people facing hardship in the UK, and mental health charity Mind.
ESSA director Andrew Harrison said: “The ESSA Summer Event is one of my favourite dates in the event industry calendar for many reasons. Not only is it an opportunity to connect with colleagues and friends, new and old, in a more relaxed setting, but it also provides ample opportunity for us all to gather and focus on the things that really matter in 2024 and beyond. It’s a perfect time to reassess, reconnect and ensure we are all on the same page about how we can continue to promote best practice and ensure our industry continues to strive to be the best it can be.”
