It was an ordinary Friday afternoon at Scan Display Cape Town headquarters that turned into celebrations when the much-anticipated news of our appointment as official infrastructure supplier for Investing in Africa’s Mining Indaba came. We all knew that this would be a tough feat but we planned, strategized and organised a highly successful show.
Mining Indaba consisted of 15000 m2 of space, which included special areas such as VIP and Press Lounges, a Recharge Zone, and a Junior Miners Showcase among others. The exhibition provided a wonderful opportunity to showcase, on a grand scale, our tension fabric system (TFS) boothing solution. Scan Display also created a new addition to the show in the form of the main stage which was surrounded by sound-dampening custom walling with a fabric solution. The show organisers reported very positive feedback from exhibitors and delegates alike.
With a one-day-turnaround upon completion of Mining Indaba, Scan Display also completed our sixth consecutive Cape Town Art Fair. From the show’s humble beginnings at The Lookout, V&A Waterfront back in 2013, Scan Display has helped turn it into what it is today; Cape Town’s biggest contemporary art show that occupies three halls of the Cape Town International Convention Centre.
The show comprised of 1 373 running metres of custom walling designed and manufactured by our team in Cape Town. This walling is commended for its slim but sturdy composition, capable of supporting up to fifty kilograms from a single point. Once again, the show was a huge success and we look forward to doing many more in future.
Most recently, Scan Display designed, manufactured and built the Mauritius stand at World Travel Market Africa. With an extremely tight tender deadline and a bolder-than-before client brief, we kept our expectations for winning low. It was another ordinary Friday at Scan Display when we received the great news that we had won the tender.
To top that, our stand won the Best Stand Feature award as well as the Best Stand Design award at the show.
