The government sets a minimum amount workers must get paid on average for the hours they work. This is called the National Minimum Wage (NMW) or the National Living Wage (NLW) if you’re aged 25 or over. The minimum wage rate varies depending on your age and whether you are an apprentice.

You are entitled to the Apprentice rate if you are either aged under 19; or aged 19 or over and in the firsd year of your apprenticeship. You are entitled to the National Minimum Wage for your age if you are aged 19 or over and have completed the first year of your apprenticeship. |
