The results of this year’s 2023 ESSA Awards were announced last night, celebrating more of the sector’s finest talent than ever before.

This month, we chat to one of our newest Board Members, Sales Director of Human Built Andrew Hickinbotham, to get the lie of the land on the events industry, his work with ESSA and his love of Alan Partridge. 

ESSA is proud to announced the full shortlist for its 2023 ESSA Awards. 

ESSA has experienced healthy growth in member numbers this year. At mid October, membership stands at 282 including 13 student members, a healthy increase of 24% during the last 12-month period.

The Events Industry Alliance (EIA) has launched its new manifesto and key policy asks in their second Parliamentary event as they look towards the next general election. A cross-party group of MPs, including Government ministers and members of the shadow cabinet, in addition to CEOs from across the business events industry were guests at the reception.

There is a perception that adopting sustainable practices is an expensive business. ESSA member David Humphreys, Director at Green Circle Solutions, offers his advice on why this doesn’t have to be the case.
