Concerned by the reports of geographical disparities in the disbursement of Local Restriction Support Grants (LRSG) and Additional Restrictions Grant (ARG), the Event Supplier and Services Association (ESSA) has issued 400 Freedom of Information (FOI) requests to its members' local authorities in the UK.

The Event Service Suppliers Association (ESSA), Association of Event Venues (AEV), Association of Event Organisers (AEO) which collectively represent the exhibitions industry, have officially joined the One Industry One Voice Coalition with their #ProjectRecovery movement.

Following weeks of work by the three associations and their members, ESSA, AEO and AEV receive official recognition and sign-off of of the Industry's All Secure Expo Pilot.

ESSA's serving vice-chair Lou Kiwanuka, (MD; EventShaper) has been appointed chair of the Event Industry Alliance (EIA), assuming the role from Dan Thurlow (Director of Exhibition Sales; SEC & AEV Board Member).

The EIA, comprising ESSA, the AEV and the AEO has, last night, delivered an open letter to the Prime Minister, Boris Johnson, and the Chancellor of the Exchequer, Rishi Sunak after the continued lack of support provided to the event industry, despite DCMS having communicated approval of both guidance and a pilot exhibition.
