Declaration
I/We confirm that the company applying for ESSA Membership holds a minimum and valid Public Liability insurance certificate with annual cover of at least £5 million. Non UK companies will be vetted against their national association minimum requirement to operate within their territory. When acting in the UK, non-UK companies may be refused access to act on behalf of their client within the venue/exhibition if their insurance does not meet the minimum UK exhibition industry agreed threshold. We advise that all non-UK companies seek permanent or short term ‘top-ups’ of their public liability in these instances to meet UK standards or potentially face the issue of refused entry to venue or show. I/We understand that ESSA reserves the right to request a copy of said certificate at any given point to support continued membership of ESSA.
I/We understand that ESSA will perform background financial checks during the application process. This will include but is not limited to a full credit check. I/We understand that ESSA performs regular financial health checks on all members for the duration of their membership. I/We understand that ESSA reserves the right to request a full copy of our most recent accounts to support our ongoing membership.

Terms & Conditions
We understand that should I/we (the Company) wish to resign it undertakes to settle all outstanding fees due. The Company understands that fees will be due in full on the first day of the renewal month in every subsequent year and that the Company will remain in membership unless either party formally terminates membership. Members may resign membership at any time in writing to the ESSA offices during the membership year. No refund of membership fees already paid by the member relating to that membership year (or previous years) will be made by ESSA, unless the member resigns within 30 (thirty) days of the issuance of the invoice relating to the forthcoming year's membership fees. In that case alone ESSA will refund the full year's fee paid less an amount equivalent to the pro-rata daily fee for the number of days from the beginning of the membership year to the date at which written notice is received at the ESSA offices. In the event that the member resigns in writing within 30 days of issuance of the invoice for the forthcoming year's fees without payment of fees to ESSA for the forthcoming year, then the resigning member will not be liable for the pro-rata fees from the start of that membership year to the date of receipt of written notice of resignation of the member.
By submitting the ESSA application form I/we agree to commit to joining ESSA for a minimum of 12 month. I/we understand that the membership fee is payable by direct debit and will roll over annually until such time as I/we notify ESSA that I/we no longer want to hold membership with the association and that I/we will be notified of future renewal periods via letter and invoiced in full for that period moving forward and any changes will be notified in writing.
I/we confirm that the information given in this application is correct and that I am authorised to submit this application on behalf of said company. If we are offered membership I/we agree to be bound by the Rules of the Association in force, to operate with business standards and ethics appropriate to the ESSA Code of Conduct and ESSA Quality Service Charter and to pay all dues and demands to the Association at the prescribed time.
