Studio Manager / Large Format Artworker
Location: SW19 2QA, office based, five days a week
Salary: £40,000 to £45,000 per annum

About the role
We are looking for an experienced Studio Manager / Large Format Artworker to lead our artwork team and manage the end to end delivery of artwork for large scale exhibition and live events projects.
This is a hands on role combining people management, workflow planning and high quality large format artworking. You will take ownership of scheduling studio work, allocating jobs across the team, and acting as a key point of contact for clients on artwork queries and delivery. You will also produce artwork yourself on more complex or high priority projects.

Key responsibilities
Studio management and leadership
- Lead and manage the artwork team, including workload planning, job allocation and day to day supervision
- Schedule studio work to meet project deadlines and production requirements
- Monitor capacity, priorities and delivery across multiple projects
- Provide guidance, support and quality oversight to ensure consistent standards across the team
Client liaison
- Act as the main point of contact for clients on artwork related matters
- Advise clients on artwork requirements, specifications and best practice for large format print
- Manage artwork amends and approvals, ensuring changes are clearly communicated and controlled
Artwork production
- Create and finalise large format artwork for exhibitions, including graphics, panels, signage and printed elements
- Translate design concepts into accurate, print ready artwork in line with brand guidelines and technical specifications
- Step in to produce or support artwork on complex, high value or time critical projects
File preparation and print readiness
- Prepare print ready files, including pre flight checks, colour management and file optimisation
- Ensure all artwork meets production and finishing requirements before release to print
Quality control
- Carry out detailed checks of all artwork before print to minimise errors and rework
- Maintain high standards of accuracy, consistency and attention to detail
Production coordination
- Work closely with the print and finishing teams to align artwork delivery with production schedules
- Resolve artwork or print issues quickly and effectively when they arise
Process improvement
- Review and improve studio workflows to increase efficiency and consistency
- Introduce best practice and support continuous improvement within the artwork function
Experience and skills required
- Proven experience managing or leading a team in a studio or artwork environment
- Strong background in large format artworking, essential
- High level proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, particularly Illustrator, Photoshop and InDesign
- Solid understanding of large format print processes, materials and finishing
- Experience working within exhibitions, events or large format print environments, preferred
- Confident communicator, comfortable dealing directly with clients and internal stakeholders
- Ability to manage multiple projects under pressure while maintaining quality
- Portfolio demonstrating relevant large format artwork is highly desirable
Working arrangements
- Office based role in South West London
- Working hours: 09:30 to 17:30, Monday to Friday
- Overtime and weekend work available when required
