From humble beginnings as a family-run business, to the streamlined tech company we all know and love today. But what are the key moments that brought us here?

2015 was quite the year. Eurovision turned 60, the seventh Star Wars film was gearing up to hit cinemas, and, perhaps the most momentous of all (depending on who you ask), JET became part of the Jonas Software Group. A big year, indeed.

But here’s the twist: JET didn’t actually exist yet. This milestone marked the beginning of something exciting. It was the moment when two brilliant companies, Show Data Systems and Interchange Communications, came together with a shared vision to lead the way in event registration. That collaboration laid the groundwork for what would soon become JET.

In 2017, as the Jonas Software Group expanded into new industries and acquired more businesses, it created dedicated groups to support this growth. That was the moment JET officially became part of the Vesta Software Group.

Fast Forward to 2025: How Far We’ve Come
So, on to 2025. What has the acquisition actually meant for JET?

From humble beginnings as a family-run business, where kit was bought on eBay and hand-delivered to events, JET has held on to the best parts of its roots, including a close-knit team and a customer-first mindset. At the same time, we’ve grown into the streamlined tech company we all know and love today. So, what were the key moments that brought us here?

Product Development and Innovation
With the backing of Vesta’s vast network, including both people and resources, we’ve been able to fast-track our product roadmap like never before. It all started with a bang: our lead capture app, the Engage Scanner, launched to great success. That momentum continued with the introduction of JET Forms and JET Onsite, transforming the way event registration was delivered across the industry. These innovations did more than support organisers; they redefined expectations and set a new standard for what seamless, technology-led registration could achieve.

And we haven’t slowed down since. Our fully serviced solution has continued to grow, and in 2025 we introduced our latest innovation, Self-Serve. This new system puts organisers in the driving seat, giving them full control over their own registration experience.

Growth and Expansion

Under Vesta’s guidance, JET has experienced remarkable growth in both scale and reach. As our team quickly expanded, we hit a major milestone in 2019 with our largest-ever staff count of more than 30 people, and support for a record 250 events in a single year. That same year, we also achieved our highest revenue to date (although, spoiler alert, we’ve since surpassed it).

Even with the pandemic briefly slowing things down, we bounced back in style. By 2021, we had supported 125 events, helping bring their registration to life and once again setting a new revenue record by 2022.

And we can’t forget another major highlight: we’ve gone global. In 2022, we opened our first North American office, allowing us to better support our growing number of events across the region.

Customer Success
Thanks to our continued investment in better technology and support, our clients have seen the benefits of the acquisition firsthand. With ongoing enhancements to our products and solutions, we’ve been able to offer organisers a truly seamless experience for their attendees, from start to finish.

We work hard to keep pace with the ever-evolving needs of the events industry. That’s why you’ll often see us partnering with other leading technology providers, including FFAIR and EventBeds, to deliver even more value.

And it’s not just us saying we’re doing a good job. Our Net Promoter Score of 63, along with glowing client testimonials, speaks volumes about the service and support we provide.

Brand Visibility
With ongoing support from the group, we’ve been able to achieve some brilliant things. One standout moment was in 2018, when we won AEO’s Best Event Registration Company. This not only boosted our brand visibility, but also strengthened our credibility across the industry.

Since then, we’ve continued to build on that success. We’ve been shortlisted for several awards and have proudly headlined sponsored key industry events, including the EN Indy Awards and the EN Marketing Conference. Supporting these events has helped raise our profile even further, keeping us firmly connected with the community. We’re also proud members of ESSA, reinforcing our commitment to staying engaged and active within the industry.

Continued Success and Milestones
With ten years since the acquisition behind us, our focus is firmly on the future. JET continues to grow as a leader in event registration, and 2025 has already marked an exciting new chapter.

We kicked off the year with the appointment of our new Managing Director, Sarah Cox, whose fresh perspective and forward-thinking approach are set to drive the business even further. As she puts it:

“My vision for Jonas Event Technology over the next six to twelve months is to consolidate some of the great inroads we’ve made into our North American market. I’m also keen to help drive innovation and find solutions for a wider range of customers. They’re excited that we’ve recently launched our self-serve solution, which is effectively an opportunity for events with fewer than a thousand attendees to run their own registration.”

Sarah’s leadership brings renewed energy and ambition to JET. Her focus on global growth and innovation ensures we are not only keeping pace with the industry, but also shaping its future.

What’s Next for JET?
From our early days couriering equipment by hand to becoming a trusted global partner in event registration, the journey of JET has been nothing short of remarkable. The past ten years have brought rapid growth, exciting innovation and countless milestones, all made possible through the strength of our people, our partnerships and the continued support of Vesta.

As we look to the future, our focus remains on delivering outstanding service, staying at the forefront of event technology and continuing to empower organisers of all sizes to create unforgettable experiences.

Here’s to the next chapter for JET. We are only just getting started.
