How exhibition stand installer Smart Display is celebrating its ten-year anniversary with a relocation to bigger premises.

Smart Display is celebrating its tenth birthday with a relocation to new, bigger premises to accommodate its ongoing expansion. Established in 2015, the specialist stand installer has already relocated once but, six years on, increased demand for striking and sustainable stand build has led the team to outgrow its current premises once again.

The move coincides with Smart Display’s ten-year anniversary, which officially takes place on 21 July 2025. The past decade has seen the team grow from 2 to 28, with each member having been carefully selected to enhance the brand’s unique skillset across design, project management and installation.

It’s not just a bolstered workforce and an increase in the volume of work moving through the studio and workshop that has led Smart Display to outgrow its current site. A shift in client attitudes across the past decade has seen an increase in demand for re-usable elements and a more sustainable approach to stand build. With more elements being stored and re-used from one show to the next, Smart Display has an increased need for warehouse square footage, as well as office and studio space.

“In reality we outgrew our current premises around two years ago!” says Smart Display’s managing director Chris Stewart.  “We've enjoyed consistent growth over the past four years and bringing on board new clients also means hiring new staff and creating more manufacturing and more storage space to deliver the work.  We've added additional storage facilities over the years but this move allows us to bring everything finally under one roof whilst also increasing our overall footprint to facilitate further growth in the coming years. 

“The team at Smart Display have, over the last 10 years, become experts in creating stylish and productive exhibition environments for our clients and doing so with solid sustainability and ROI credentials.  Because of this, our clients are able to keep and reuse many of the components that go into creating their exhibition stands, saving them on future exhibition costs and saving waste.  It's this approach to each projects which keeps our clients coming back and allows us to take the next step into a bigger physical space of our own!  The fact that the lease availability coincided with our ten-year anniversary is a poignant coincidence that heralds a new chapter of growth for Smart Display.

Although the move is still in progress, the new premises were Christened last week with a mix of clients and suppliers. Basked in 30 degree heat, the site was transformed into an outdoor party area, playing host to a live band, bar area and party food in celebration of the new era to come.

The location proved to be even more perfect than first thought when party-goers navigating their way to the site noticed something interesting about the area’s What3Words location. Rather fittingly, the three completed random words allocated to the site entrance turned out to be ///event.hungry.smart, perfectly summing up the company’s raison d’etre.
