Renault Trucks UK & Ireland is celebrating five years of sustainable event design in partnership with Natural Green Creative Spaces, marking half a decade of collaboration.
The partnership began when Renault Trucks sought a more welcoming alternative to the traditional trailer-style units often used at industry events.
“We wanted something that felt open, inclusive and reflected our brands sustainability values,” explains Natalie Rawlings, Marketing Manager at Renault Trucks UK & Ireland. “Our previous setups had become functional rather than engaging. Natural Green helped us reimagine what an event space could be.”
“The reuse and repurpose element was central to our decision,” Natalie says. “Natural Green source responsibly, work with sustainable suppliers, and always keep environmental impact front of mind.”
A Distinctive, Reusable Design
Natural Green transformed two former shipping containers into a striking, double-deck hospitality and brand experience unit that continues to turn heads on the UK commercial vehicle event circuit.
Standing six metres high, the unit has become the centrepiece of Renault Trucks’ presence at major outdoor shows including Road Transport Expo (RTX), RWM (Recycling & Waste Management), and Truckfests nationwide.
The adaptable design features fold-out sides to create extended floorspace, glass bifold doors for an open conservatory feel, and transparent side panels that zip down to weatherproof the space. Inside, it houses a kitchenette, coffee bar, digital screen, sound system and comfortable seating areas, with an upstairs level used for meetings or entertainment.
“It’s versatile, eye-catching and purpose-built for real-world use,” says Natalie. “It’s become our starting point for every show, and we plan the entire stand around it.”
As part of the collaboration, Natural Green provides plant schemes for each event, not only to bring colour and warmth but also to underscore Renault Trucks brand identity.
“The planting transforms the atmosphere,” Natalie adds. “It softens the industrial aesthetic of the containers and creates a welcoming, professional environment. Visitors always comment on how fresh it feels.”
Natural Green’s role also included ongoing design refinements, creative planting, and complete event logistics from planning to transport, installation, and on-site support.
“They store it, move it, install it and make it look incredible every time,” says Natalie.
When asked to describe the team, Natalie doesn’t hesitate: “Passionate, sustainable and like family; that’s exactly how they make you feel. They’re like an extension of our event team.”
Looking Ahead: Designing for the Future
Five years on, the partnership continues to evolve. With Natural Green expanding its own range of sustainable event solutions including Z Benches with integrated digital screens and modular outdoor display features and both companies are exploring new ways to collaborate and further reduce event-related environmental impact.
“We’re already looking at how we can integrate some of Natural Green’s new innovations into our future events,” says Natalie. “They’ve helped us completely change the way we approach live experiences, and they just keep innovating.”
