Paul Wicks, chairman of Showlite, tragically passed away on Tuesday 12th December. Wicks was immensely popular and well-loved throughout the industry and this year saw him celebrate numerous achievements including the 25th anniversary of the company he originally set up.

Paul Slaney, MD at Showlite and close friend to Wicks, commented: “I have known Paul for over 30 years and am deeply saddened to announce his sudden passing. Paul was one of the true gentlemen of the industry and proof that a successful business is about the people working in it. Paul was all about building relationships. He inspired loyalty from everyone he met, his team and to so many people he has worked with over the years. Our thoughts are with his wife Julie, his children, family and friends at this sad time.

“I also want to assure our valued customers there will be no changes within Showlite moving forward and we look forward to continuing our business relationship for many years to come.”
